I was kind of holding off on posting until I could put up something in which, you know, plot happened, as opposed to all wangst, all the time, but Holmes is being so blasted cagy with information I need to get him to reveal that it makes the "not playing any fucking Grieg" debacle look like a boy scout on bob-a-job week and I thought 1500 words of everyone just moping is better than no bread, right?

So there's more Winter in London here in meme 1

Or here in meme 2

Whichever you prefer!

As soon as I get more finished I'll bring it across here. Going to  keep kicking Holmes until he capitulates tonight and see how far I get.

I love this series so much I am sorely tempted to read instead of work on the 7 page paper that is due for one of my classes in about 4 hours. I will be strong and wait, but I've been dying to see more because it's so damn good.

Oops, didn't even realize I was being anon there. I have no shame in loving this fic. You write Holmes and Watson in this state of beautiful, broken honesty that is so appropriate to the characters after all they've been through- and delicious to read. The interactions between them are so enticing. I'm always on the edge of my seat to find out what unravels next.

Reading the latest installment was actually my way of celebrating the end of a relentless semester. Even though I had to wait to finish my paper, the timing of this post was great! I can't wait for more!

OMG, this is so painful and I love it so much. (I feel like every time I comment I say the same thing, but it's true!)

I absolutely love this series. It is so well written! I love that you've taken a situation that could be written (and often is) in a superficial and sentimental way and made it into something with so much depth and realistic emotion.

I've reread it several times, while waiting for more and it definitely stands up to multiple reads. *loves*

Thank you for the kind words and for sticking with it! God, would you believe I thought this would be just 3000 words or so, once upon a time...

Okay, I'll try to keep it short because yeah, three in the morning and finals in six hours now, but... wow. Just wow. This is my favourite segment so far, and for the concentrated brilliance that is your fic, that's saying something.

The armour bit - painfully true. Same goes for discussing the weather. God, Holmes willing to discuss the weather, of all things.

And emotional angst, of the delicious kind - there's nothing quite like missed opportunities to rub salt in the would, and the absolute certainty that they were utterly wasted and won't ever, ever come again also I've been pathetically in love with enough of my straight friends for the 'not quite nothing, not quite enough' bit to sting, and God, I want to hug them and tell them everything will be okay, except it won't help, will it, just like the little things Holmes does...

Also: "the texture of the silence". Love. Seriously, I'm going to paint this on my wall when I have the time.

Thank you very much. I am surprised and delighted that you'd say this was your favourite part, because as I said, I was a bit... frustrated with it - because it's so long but nothing really happens! I'm really glad it rang true to you.

And yeah, unrequited (or apparently/currently unrequited) is a bitch.

except it won't help, will it, just like the little things Holmes does...

Well, the little things Holmes is doing can't fix it, but he may be being unduly pessimistic in concluding that they therefore don't help at all...

Ah, the first time in nearly two weeks I've been able to slip onto the internet and lo-my favorite author has updated my favorite fic!

I'll review later when I've got more time - you know how excited I tend to get...

It's really been that long hasn't it. Yikes. Stupid life.

Anyway, I'm glad if some of the crap's easing up for you a little, and that you got the time to look in!
