Do you know that as soon as I saw that you posted the final instalment of this story I pounced on it, read it avidly, & loved it so much that it's taken me two days to calm down enough to comment coherently on it & not just mash the keyboard in my uncoordinated, flailing joy. I've just *adored* this series - the slow build-up between the pair of them, the growing closer by increments, Watson achingly slowly pulling himself back together after what's happened while Holmes feels helpless in the background, the link to the Milverton case...

It's all been just glorious. The characterisations (which were *spot on*, by the way)... *sigh*

Thank you so much for persevering with this. It's been really beautiful series to follow.
