New fic, which I want to tidy up slightly and bring over here but WHAT DO I CALL IT. I can't call it "SCARS" that would be incredibly naff ("the scars on his body, the SCARS ON HIS SOOOOOUUL DO YOU SEE WHAT I DID THERE.") I also cannot think of anything else at all.
Also Virginia Woolf pastiche silliness, which I'll leave where it is.
Did you ever find fannishness was causing you to develop a ridiculous affectation you're far too old for but you didn't MEAN TO DO IT IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT? See, I was writing Holmes POV. And I thought "That steepling-fingers thing he does, can I do it? I mean, properly, without looking, and so the fingertips don't slightly miss each other, or anything." So I tried it. First attempt - failure. third or fourth attempt - success! And now I KEEP DOING IT ALL THE TIME without noticing until it's too late. God I even remember reading some kid's book which had a ridiculous character doing that because she'd "copied it from an actor who played Sherlock Holmes" I DON'T WANT TO BE THAT PERSON.
